The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg LarssonMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
The book started kind of slowly, but I appreciated it in hindsight. Once I got into the meat of the book, hundreds of pages flew by like nothing, and I realized that without the slower intro to Blomkvist, he would have gotten completely lost against the larger personality of Lisbeth. It made me appreciate Blomkvist as a protagonist more, as opposed to him just getting lost in Lisbeth's rather awesome shadow.
Once the book started dealing with the mystery, I couldn't believe how engrossed I got in the book. Initially, I wondered if I would, or if this would be a case of wondering why it was so popular, like a lot of literary trends. But I'll definitely be reading the other two books in the Millennium trilogy.
